Hi there! :D

I see you have made a Battle Bunny Riven Sword, and It sure looks nice and right scaled.
I was wondering if you could tell me the basics, of how and what you used to make it as good as yours? :D

Im planing to do a Battle Bunny Riven cosplay next year, Im working on the bunny suit now. But I just cant figur out a way to make the sword, as good as yours. Can you plz help me ? :meow:
Yeah of course!

The sword is entirely carved out of insulation foam board. This is a pretty thorough tutorial on working with it: www.cosplay.com/showthread.php…

To determine the proportions of the sword, I looked at a lot of images of Riven with her sword, and assuming she's roughly the same size as me I sketched out about how big I thought the sword should be and compared it to myself in a mirror to make sure it didn't look too big or small.

After carving it all out, I sanded any rough edges and used plain white Gesso on the whole thing to prepare it for painting. I just used cheap acrylics to paint it all up.

The tutorial explains all you need to know about working with the insulation board. The painting is a bit harder to explain, since there wasn't really a specific process I used; I just sort of felt it out as I went along.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you still have any specific questions.
Ahh... Thank you so much for the answer, I have been thinking of something like that too.
Thank you for clearing things up for me :D

I am planing to use expanding foam for the sword, since its very hard to find foam boards here in Norway :( (Sad)

The way you used to measure the size for the sword, sounds very clever, I'll try it out I am a dummy!

Thank you so much for the help!! Hug
I'm glad I could help :)
Good luck!

Fan of your Skaven. Would love to see your whole army when they are finished :)
Thanks for all your comments :] I've finished a squad of clanrats, but I don't think they're really display-worthy (meaning I rushed them :p). I've started doing a Grey Knight commission for someone though, so I'll have some images of that up soonish hopefully
Cool! Can't wait to see what you do with them.
